2 Kings 13:14 (KJV) Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.

Literally anointing is the act of applying oil to a person or object to sanctify or consecrate them for a divine purpose, such as appointing a king, priest, or prophet. In this context we shall be looking at anointing from its spiritual definition, which means the empowerment and presence of the Holy Spirit that enables individuals to accomplish God’s work, protect themselves, or receive healing.

For a born again child of God, filled with the Holy Spirit (anointed), Living a holy life, studying your bible daily and praying always, you pray for the sick and they get healed, it may be surprising to see yourself fall sick at one point or another .The question is does it mean that you are no longer anointed when you find yourself in such a situation? The answer is no. The reason why it is like that is because you are still human putting on flesh and blood. You are still living in this demon infested world.

Remember that our God heals without medication and also with medication. When you find yourself in such a situation apply the anointing of God upon your life by praying for your healing. If you have prayed and the sickness remains there then is time to get medical attention.

From our anchor scripture 2 Kings 13:14 you can see the man of God Elisha known as a carrier of double portion of Elijah’s anointing and a performer of notable miracles in the bible including raising the dead, died of sickness. This is not because he was no longer anointed nor because he became less anointed. From the inspiration of the Holy Spirit within me I can see He was desiring to be with the Lord and therefore decided not do something about the sickness using the anointing upon his life, because in 2 Kings 13: 20-21, his bones raised a dead man.

For you child of God who is not desiring to be with the Lord at the moment, when you fall sick pray and stop it with the anointing. However if it remains there get medical attention. Medical check up and eating wholesome meals are also good as prevention is better than cure.

Prayer 🙏 Father thank you for the anointing and for giving us all things that pertain to life and godliness.

Revelation 21:8 (KJV) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

As humans it is natural for us to fear or become afraid of something. But the bible has always encouraged us not to be afraid of anything Isaiah 35:4.

A long time ago as a child the first time I came in contact with the above scripture – Revelation 21:8, I have always wondered why the fearful would be among those that would go to hell. Then at a time I began to ask the Holy Spirit why it should be so, letting Him know that I don’t see any crime in somebody being afraid of something.

Then the Holy Spirit ministered to me that if one is fearful the person’s actions will be controlled by fear. Out of fear the person would do things that contradict the word of God. Things he or she is not supposed to do because the person is afraid.

For instance in 1 Samuel 13:9-13 Saul out of fear made a sacrifice he was not supposed to make and lost the opportunity of his kingdom being established in Israel.

It is natural or normal for one to be afraid but it is not good for one to allow fear to get hold of him/her. The moment fear comes, quickly push it out by the word of God, by the blood of Jesus, by the name of Jesus. Don’t allow it to stay. If you are to give fear a chance it will control you and your actions. You will act in unbelievable and destroy what God has for you, miss the opportunities He is bringing your way, go to where you are not supposed to go, say things you’re not supposed to say and suffer what you are not supposed to suffer. Fear destroys, so avoid it.

Fear is the devil’s weapon against the believer, so cooperate with the Holy Spirit and ensure that you give no place to it. As you are not to give any place to the devil the same way give no place to fear.

Remember that fear is not of God. It comes from the devil. God did not give us the spirit of fear but the Spirit of power. That’s the Holy Spirit Act 1: 8, 2 Timothy 1:7.

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Prayer 🙏 Dear Heavenly father thank you for Your Spirit of power which you have given me. Help me to always cooperate with Him so as not to be held down and be controlled by fear in Jesus name. Amen 🙏💖

Acts 17:10-11 (KJV) And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

It is common to hear people say ” This is not my church doctrine. Our church does not believe in that.” And when you check it you discover that what they tell you isn’t their church doctrine is a biblical doctrine.

Beloved don’t let your Church doctrine hold you down instead let your focus be on the word of God. Before you conclude on anything and shut your heart against it, find out what God’s word says about it. Is it in line with the word of God? Did God command it? If yes go ahead do it and continue doing it.

There are some kingdom mysteries that some christians will tell you that their church does not believe in it, that it is not their church doctrine and because of that they refuse to access what has been made available to them by the word of God and give the devil the occasion to hold them hostage in a particular area of their lives.

One of such mysteries is the mystery of the anointing oil. See what the bible says about it:

Mark 6:13 (KJV) And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

James 5:14 (KJV) Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Isaiah 10:27 (KJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

Psalms 105:15 (KJV) Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Another mystery is the holy communion. Some christians see it as a once in a while meal while others see it as meant for a certain group of people in the church. However the bible admonished us to eat it often.

1 Corinthians 11:26 (KJV) For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

John 6:53 (KJV) Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

Beloved search the scriptures like the berea christians. Find out what the scripture says, hold on to it and let it be your focus.

Prayer 🙏 Father thank you for your word. Give my the grace to study and meditate on your word always. Open my eyes 👁️ to behold wondrous things out of your law (Psalm 119:18).

2 Kings 5:10, 14 (KJV) And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

Divine healing has its own prescription which must be followed by anyone in need of divine healing. When Naaman the captain of the Syrian army went to the man of God Elisha for his healing he was asked by the man of God to go and dip himself seven times in river Jordan for his healing. Though at first Naaman saw this prescription as an insult but after his servants spoke to him he complied and was healed to the point that his flesh became clean like that of a little child.

The ten lepers that met Jesus in Luke chapter 17, Jesus asked them to go and show themselves to the priests. That’s divine healing prescription to those lepers, as they obeyed they got their healing.

Luke 17:14 (KJV) And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

In Matthew chapter 12:13 when Jesus wanted to heal the man with a withered hand He asked him to stretch forth his hand and when he did his hand was restored. The instruction to stretch his hand was the prescription.

Matthew 12:13 (KJV) Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

In John chapter 9:1-7, after Jesus anointed with clay the eyes of the man that was born blind he asked him to go and wash in the pool of Siloam and as he did he received his sight.

John 9:7 (KJV) And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

Divine healing prescription is still available today and as such should be taken seriously by anyone in need of divine healing.

The number one prescription is the word of God, followed by your faith, prayer, your declaration of God’s word for your healing, obedience to instructions and leadings of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is the Chief medical director in charge of divine healing. He is the healer and the great physician. Everything is done in His name.

Prayer: 🙏 Father thank you for the divine healing prescription available to me. I receive the grace to key into it for my healing in Jesus name. Amen.

Mark 5:25-30 (KJV) And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

Prior to this event in Mark 5:25-30 people have been touching Jesus on different occasions when he is ministering in the crowd but such touch has no record of any miracle attached to them because those who touched did so with no intentions to receive any form of miracle. Those that touched before this event touched Him in order to have something to brag or boast about when discussing with family and friends. To them is enough to boast to their friends, family, neighbours, colleagues that on this and that occasion when Jesus was ministering they were able to touch Jesus in the press and that’s all.

But the woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus purposefully. She was intentional in her touch. Her touch of Jesus’ garment was her action in line to receive her desired miracle of healing from the issue of blood which she has suffered from for twelve years. She has an expectation which is to be healed. She had the faith that touching Jesus would bring the healing. She put her faith to work by making the effort to touch Jesus’ garment irrespective of the crowd and she was healed.

Jesus would have kept quiet and allow the woman to go unnoticed by the crowd. Jesus is God and all knowing, He knows who touched Him and the miracle that took place in the person’s life. Infact He has the woman’s details even before she was conceived in her mother’s womb but Jesus asked the question ”who touched me?” in order to teach the crowd that healings also take place when people touch Him intentionally and not only when He touched them. Jesus created the awareness.

If you read the bible carefully you will notice that after the woman with the issue of blood got healed by touching Jesus’ garment so many other people got their healing by touching Jesus’ garment.

Mark 6:56 And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

Prayer: 🙏 Father thank you that I can touch Jesus by faith and be healed.

Isaiah 38:21 (KJV) For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.

God is not against you going for medication/Medical treatment when you are sick. Either orthodox medicines or natural remedies is not contrary to divine healing, both serve God’s purpose for God’s children to obtain their healing. What God is against is idol worship in the name of medicine/ medication.

Therefore beloved if you fall sick, seek medical attention. Pray to God for your healing, believe God, put your trust in Him as your healer not on the drugs, take your drugs as prescribed, before you know it your health will spring forth.

Why you must not put your trust in drugs or stop praying for healing when you are receiving medical treatment is because drugs no matter how good or potent they are can kill or harm the person taking them if not properly administered.

Do not put your trust in your doctor no matter how qualified or specialized he/she is. Remember that that your doctor is a human even though a specialist and humans are prone to error. God is the only one who cannot make mistake therefore commit your affairs unto Him and He will take charge.

Beloved miracles happen. This is a situation whereby you receive your healing instantly without medication or God’s intervention instantly over a particular situation. However there are occasions where medical attention is required. Do not hesitate to take advantage of it because all things work together for good to them that love God – Romans 8: 28.

More so according 2 Peter 1:3 God has given us all things that pertain unto life and godliness…. Do not close your heart against divine healing through instant miracle nor close your heart against divine healing through medication. Both have been made available by God for your own good therefore take advantage of both whenever there is need.

Prayer: 🙏 Father thank You for the provisions You made for my healing and sound health.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The above scripture states clearly that if anyone wants to please God that faith is needed. This implies that no matter what you do for God or with God if you did not do it by faith God cannot be pleased with you.

What is faith? Faith is believing God for everything. It is taking God by His word. It is believing that whatever He says He is capable of making it to happen no matter how long it takes. Faith is believing in the power of God to turn things around irrespective of the prevailing circumstances or challenges.

The number one thing we need to please God is faith. Our faith in God leads to obedience to His word. Our obedience to His word is counted as righteousness, Romans 4: 22. Our obedience to His word is also known as holiness. Our faith in Him subdues fear.

Beloved keep your faith in God intact, it must not be weak, it must not be little or small, make it strong and great,build it up because that is what you need to please God.

Prayer 🙏 Father help me to have an unwavering faith in You in Jesus name. Amen.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV) He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

God has an appointed time for every thing according to Ecclesiastes 3:1. Why certain things around you may not look beautiful now is because is not yet God’s time to make them beautiful. When it is God’s time He will make them beautiful. If a particular area of your life isn’t looking beautiful now, all you need to do is to pray and wait on God, when the time is right He will make it beautiful. Ecclesiastes 3:11.

Remember that He has promised to give you beauty for ashes -Isaiah 61:3. You can’t get anything less if you want for Him.

Prayer 🙏 Father thank you for making all things beautiful in your time.

Isaiah 54:17 (KJV) No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

At all times the devil and his cohorts are doing or planning one thing or the other against God’s children. No matter how hard they try or fight it will not happen because God’s presence with us is a defense mechanism which nullifies their plans even before they started.

Therefore you don’t need to be afraid knowing that however hard they try it will not come to pass. They failed before they started. They may attack you through accusations – falsehoods. You are to condemn their tongue by standing on the truth of the word of God and His righteousness because it is your heritage.

Isaiah 8:10 (KJV) Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

Whatever strategy they adopted is bond to fail. Why? Because God is with us. So beloved always ensure that you please God at all times to retain His presence then you will have nothing to worry about the devil and his cohorts.

Romans 8:31 (KJV) What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Do you know the answer to the above question? The answer is nobody.

Psalms 107:20 (KJV) He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

God has already sent His word for your healing and you have a part to play which is to discover the word He sent to heal you, grab it, meditate on it, confess it, keep confessing it, don’t stop. As you continue to confess God’s word over that health issue before long you will see how miraculously your health has improved.

Yes, by the medical report the case may be that of a critical condition. But you are not expected to ponder on how critical the condition is rather in addition to taking your medications you are to meditate on God’s word. Hold God by His word, He has already sent His word and He cannot deny His word.

Check out what He said about your healing and health:

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

3 John 1:2 (KJV) Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Exodus 23:25 (KJV) And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

When you are holding unto God’s word for your healing, you are holding unto Jesus the great physician. Remember He is the word of God made flesh. As the great physician there is no kind of sickness or disease that He doesn’t heal.

Matthew 4:23 (KJV) And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

So from now on go ahead and confess that you are healed by His stripes. Say everything God has said about your healing. Don’t confess the critical medical condition any more. As you confess God’s word over your health may you receive your miracle healing in Jesus name. Amen.
