2 Kings 5:10, 14 (KJV) And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
Divine healing has its own prescription which must be followed by anyone in need of divine healing. When Naaman the captain of the Syrian army went to the man of God Elisha for his healing he was asked by the man of God to go and dip himself seven times in river Jordan for his healing. Though at first Naaman saw this prescription as an insult but after his servants spoke to him he complied and was healed to the point that his flesh became clean like that of a little child.
The ten lepers that met Jesus in Luke chapter 17, Jesus asked them to go and show themselves to the priests. That’s divine healing prescription to those lepers, as they obeyed they got their healing.
Luke 17:14 (KJV) And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
In Matthew chapter 12:13 when Jesus wanted to heal the man with a withered hand He asked him to stretch forth his hand and when he did his hand was restored. The instruction to stretch his hand was the prescription.
Matthew 12:13 (KJV) Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.
In John chapter 9:1-7, after Jesus anointed with clay the eyes of the man that was born blind he asked him to go and wash in the pool of Siloam and as he did he received his sight.
John 9:7 (KJV) And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
Divine healing prescription is still available today and as such should be taken seriously by anyone in need of divine healing.
The number one prescription is the word of God, followed by your faith, prayer, your declaration of God’s word for your healing, obedience to instructions and leadings of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the Chief medical director in charge of divine healing. He is the healer and the great physician. Everything is done in His name.
